How TrimRx Works: Step by Step

Updated October 2026

TrimRx lets you start GLP-1 weight-loss treatment from home. There is no clinic visit and no waiting room. Here is how it works, step by step.

Step 1: Fill in the online health form

Start on the TrimRx website. You enter your height and weight, then answer questions about your health, medicines and goals. It takes a few minutes and you can do it on your phone.

Step 2: A licensed provider reviews it

A U.S.-licensed clinician looks at your answers and decides if GLP-1 treatment is right for you. Depending on your state, you may also have a short online consult. If treatment is not right for you, you get a full refund.

Step 3: Your medicine is made and shipped

If approved, your prescription goes to a state-licensed pharmacy. TrimRx says the pharmacy usually ships within 48 business hours, and delivery takes 3 to 5 business days. Shipping is free.

Step 4: Ongoing support

Message your care team through the patient portal any time. They help with your dose, side effects and questions. Your dose usually starts low and goes up slowly over several weeks, which helps your body adjust.

Who GLP-1 treatment is for

Brand-name GLP-1 weight-loss medicines are approved for adults with a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a weight-related health problem such as high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes. Your TrimRx provider will check if you qualify.

What you will need

  • Your height and weight
  • A list of your current medicines and health conditions
  • A card or other payment method
  • A US delivery address

How the weekly injection works

Both TrimRx medicines are once-a-week injections. Your package includes instructions. Most people use the belly or thigh and change the spot each week. The FDA advises using multi-dose vials within 28 days of first use and not using medicine that arrives warm, so store it as the label says.

Tips for success

  • Eat smaller meals and stop when you feel full.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Add protein and vegetables to your meals.
  • Walk or move every day.
  • Tell your provider about any side effects; they can adjust your plan.

Important: GLP-1 medicines are prescription treatments. A licensed provider decides if they are right for you. Do not use them if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2, or if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and constipation, which often ease as your body adjusts.
